Tish McDonald is a partner in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office and a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. Named as one of the top business litigators in the nation by SuperLawyers in 2009, Ms. McDonald focuses on complex commercial litigation and has extensive experience in fiduciary and investor-related litigation for financial institutions and individuals. She has litigated and successfully resolved breach of fiduciary duty claims and actions regarding the duties of agents, executors, trustees and other professionals. She has also represented creditors in “work-out” related litigation and special asset litigation.

Ms. McDonald has substantial experience in other commercial litigation areas as well. She has represented firms and individuals in several purported class actions alleging securities law violations, and she has represented clients in proceedings before the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and FINRA. She has represented businesses in complex commercial litigation, including litigation involving banks, retailers and real estate developers, in a variety of substantive areas and industries. She has also served as a speaker and a panelist on risk management for fiduciaries, as well as other general litigation issues.

Ms. McDonald is very active in the legal community. She serves on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia and is a Fellow of both of the American Bar Foundation and of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia. She is the past President of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. She is also a Master of the Joseph Henry Lumpkin American Inn of Court. She served as the Treasurer of Georgia Supreme Court Justice Robert E. Benham’s successful 2008 re-election campaign and is currently serving as Treasurer of Georgia Supreme Court Justice David E. Nahmias’ 2010 re-election campaign. She is currently serving as a co-chair of Judge Christopher Brasher’s re-election campaign to the Fulton County Superior Court. She served as a member of the 11th Circuit Judicial Conference in 2007.
