Jim Boswell is a litigation partner practicing in King & Spalding’s Healthcare Practice Group. He has extensive experience in handling a full range of commercial litigation matters. Mr. Boswell has also handled jury trials, administrative hearings, arbitrations and appellate arguments involving specialized healthcare issues on behalf of healthcare industry clients. He received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Harvard University in 1991. Mr. Boswell joined the firm in 1992 after clerking on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He became a partner of the firm in 1999.

Mr. Boswell has been appointed as Chair of the Healthcare Liability and Litigation Practice Group of the American Health Lawyers Association. In 2008, Nightingale’s Healthcare News recognized him as one of twelve “Outstanding Healthcare Litigators” nationally. Mr. Boswell also serves as a member of the firm’s Healthcare Initiative Steering Committee and a member of the Executive Committee of the Health Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.

Mr. Boswell has also represented healthcare entities in administrative matters, False Claims Act lawsuits, civil litigation proceedings, and government investigations. These clients include hospitals and health systems, HMOs and other managed care entities, a PBM, a hospital management company, a nursing home chain, a diagnostic imaging center chain, a PHO and a medical device manufacturer.
