King & Spalding Lawyers Earn 17 Listings in Super Lawyers: Corporate Counsel Edition

19 Feb 2009
RECOGNITION  |  Super Lawyers: Corporate Counsel Edition

ATLANTA, February 19, 2009—King & Spalding lawyers have earned a total of 17 "Super Lawyers" listings as top in the nation in the practice areas of business litigation and international law. The list appears in the March/April 2009 Super Lawyers: Corporate Counsel Edition.

Lawyers on the list are selected by their peers for inclusion in Super Lawyers guides in 2008 or 2009. Their primary area of practice is business litigation or international law. Selections are made annually on a state-by-state basis. Only five percent of the lawyers nominated are chosen for this recognition.

The following King & Spalding lawyers were selected for inclusion in this year’s list:

Georgia
John A. Chandler (Business Litigation)
Benjamin F. Easterlin, IV (Business Litigation)
Daniel J. King (Business Litigation)
Ralph B. Levy (Business Litigation)
L. Joseph Loveland, Jr. (Business Litigation)
Letitia A. McDonald (Business Litigation)
Michael C. Russ (Business Litigation)
Elizabeth V. Tanis (Business Litigation)

New York
Richard A. Cirillo (Business Litigation)
Edward G. Kehoe (Business Litigation, International)

Texas
Doak Bishop (International Law)
John P. Bowman (International Law)
Kenneth S. Culotta (International Law)
Philip R. Weems (International Law)

Washington, D.C.
John M. Bray (Business Litigation)
Joseph W. Dorn (International Law)

The Super Lawyers selection process invited U.S. lawyers who have been in practice at least five years to participate in the nomination procedure. Lawyers voted for the best lawyers they had personally observed in action. Each lawyer was given a score based on the number of votes received and the source of those votes (votes of lawyers from other firms carry more weight than those from lawyers in the same firm). The Super Lawyers research team evaluated the credentials of the nominees and ensured that each lawyer is in good standing with the state bar in their respective state. Super Lawyers described the final results as "a diverse and comprehensive listing of outstanding lawyers." Super Lawyers magazine is published by Law & Politics.
