RECOGNITION

LONDON, March 14, 2013 — King & Spalding has been emphasizing the expansion of its practices internationally and based on the results of the latest Chambers Global, the market is taking note. The 2013 edition of the prestigious guide recognized 30 of the firm's practices for their regional expertise, identifying five among the best in the world. In addition, 46 King & Spalding lawyers earned a total of 90 individual rankings spanning five large geographic regions and 14 countries, including new jurisdictions such as Indonesia, the Netherlands and Peru.

Consistent with the firm’s established reputation as a leader in the energy field, the practice also obtained two new recognitions this year for its capabilities in the Asia-Pacific and Russia. As a result of the firm’s impressive energy profile, it was named one of five finalists for the Chambers Global ‘Law Firm of the Year: Projects/ Energy’ award.

Each year, Chambers researches the legal markets in more than 180 countries, identifying the leading law firms and practitioners worldwide through interviews with thousands of lawyers and their clients. Rankings are assessed based on technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness/astuteness, diligence, commitment and other qualities valued by clients.
