Jeffrey Telep Reappointed to Court of International Trade’s Rule Advisory Committee

10 Dec 2012
WASHINGTON, December 10, 2012 — Jeffrey Telep, a partner in King & Spalding’s Washington, D.C., office, has been appointed to a second five-year term on the U.S. Court of International Trade’s Rules Advisory Committee.

The advisory committee, composed of private practitioners and government attorneys who practice regularly in front of the Court of International Trade, is charged with ensuring the court's rules of practice and procedure adapt to changes in the law and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Appointments to the committee are made personally by the chief judge of the court -- currently, the Honorable Donald C. Pogue.

This is the second noteworthy appointment Telep has earned of late. He was elected last month to the executive committee of the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association.

Telep focuses on international trade remedy litigation, enforcement and compliance, including antidumping and countervailing duty investigations and reviews before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission under title VII of the Tariff Act of 1930 and intellectual property infringement actions before the International Trade Commission under section 337 of the Tariff Act. A former trial attorney with the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice, he regularly appears before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
