NCSC Selects L. Joseph Loveland, Jr. for Warren E. Burger Society

Williamsburg, Va., Nov. 16, 2012 — L. Joseph Loveland, Jr., senior litigation partner at King & Spalding, was inducted into the National Center for State Courts’ Warren E. Burger Society during the NCSC’s annual recognition luncheon in Washington, D.C., Nov. 16.

The Warren E. Burger Society honors individuals who have volunteered their time, talent and support to the National Center in exceptional ways. It is named for the former Chief Justice of the United States, who helped found the NCSC in 1971.

Loveland is being honored for his commitment to improving the justice system and his long-time support of the National Center’s lawyer’s committee, where he formerly served as co-chair.

Loveland has worked as litigation partner at King & Spalding for more than 30 years. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been named in Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA’s list of America’s leading lawyers for business and Corporate Counsel magazine’s list of the “Nation’s Top Business Litigators.” Loveland graduated with highest honors from the University of North Carolina and received his law degree with honors from Harvard Law School.

The National Center for State Courts, headquartered in Williamsburg, Va., is a nonprofit court reform organization dedicated to improving the administration of justice by providing leadership and service to the state courts. Founded in 1971 by the Conference of Chief Justices and Chief Justice Warren E. Burger, NCSC provides education, training, technology, management and research services to the nation’s state courts.
