RECOGNITION
NEW YORK, November 1, 2012 — In the 2013 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Law Firm” survey, King & Spalding has again been identified as one of the top law firms in the United States.

King & Spalding earned 42 national rankings, including tier-one designations in 19 practice areas: antitrust, bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, copyright, corporate, energy, environmental, environmental litigation, equipment finance, FDA, health care, international arbitration - commercial, international arbitration - governmental, international trade and finance, mass tort/class actions - defendants, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, tax and trademark law. In addition to its national rankings, King & Spalding earned 88 regional rankings for various practices across the firm’s Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., offices.

King & Spalding was also chosen by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers as the “Law Firm of the Year” for government relations. Only one law firm per legal practice is recognized as a “Law Firm of the Year”. The "Best Law Firms" survey does not provide national rankings in this category. King & Spalding received the award based on the positive feedback of clients and peers regarding the firm’s work in this area.

The “Best Law Firms” survey, a joint effort between U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers, surveyed and ranked nearly 9,000 firms in 80 practices nationally and 118 local practices spanning 170 metropolitan areas. Research was based on feedback and interviews from thousands of law firm clients and lawyers.
