Dawn M. Jones Appointed to Emory Healthcare Advisory Board

ATLANTA, September 28, 2012 — Dawn M. Jones, a senior attorney with King & Spalding, has been appointed to the volunteer advisory board of Emory Healthcare, the largest, most comprehensive health system in the state of Georgia.

The board is composed of business and civic leaders committed to advancing Emory Healthcare’s mission of providing the best care for its patients, educating health professionals and leaders for the future, pursuing discovery research and serving the community.

Jones, an intensive-care-unit registered nurse by training, with more than a decade of critical care nursing experience, applies her medical training and background in her legal practice to defend manufacturers of pharmaceutical products and consumer goods in product liability lawsuits. Prior to joining King & Spalding, she was an associate general counsel for the Grady Health System, the largest non-profit, public hospital system in the state of Georgia. She received a J.D. degree from Georgia State University College of law, an M.S. degree from Georgetown University and a B.S. degree from University of Virginia. Jones is resident in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office.
