RECOGNITION
LONDON, September 19, 2012 — Seven King & Spalding lawyers, as well as the firm’s international arbitration and projects practices, have been recognized as leaders in their fields in the 2013 edition of the Chambers Latin America guide. The rankings, which seek to identify the best lawyers and law firms in Latin America, are based on in-depth market research and more than 10,000 interviews with lawyers and clients.

King & Spalding was again ranked in the Latin America-wide international arbitration and projects sections this year, climbing to band 3 for projects (up from band 4 last year) and earning a band 1 ranking for international arbitration for a fourth consecutive year. Interviewees described the arbitration team as “a phenomenal practice, with top lawyers, that delivers excellent results every time,” while the projects practice was praised as “a team that understands the idiosyncrasies of the different markets” and offers particular expertise on energy-related matters.

In addition to the practice rankings, seven lawyers earned eight individuals recognitions in this year’s Chambers Latin America guide. Partners Doak Bishop (Band 1), Guillermo Aguilar-Alvarez (Band 2), Roberto J. Aguirre Luzi (Band 4), Harry Burnett (Band 4) and Craig Miles (Band 4) were identified as leading international arbitration practitioners, and both Ned Crady (Band 4) and Ken Culotta (Band 4) were recognized for their projects expertise. Aguilar-Alvarez was also included in Band 1 of the Latin America arbitrators rankings.
