Harris Winsberg Named Chair of ABA Bankruptcy Subcommittee

CHICAGO, September 11, 2012 — Harris B. Winsberg, a partner with King & Spalding, was named chair of the loan workouts and bankruptcy subcommittee of the banking law section of the American Bar Association.

This ABA subcommittee peruses creditors' rights and remedies, legal and practical considerations and techniques in debt restructuring and workouts, statutory enactments and judicial decisions under the Uniform Commercial Code, Bankruptcy Code and other state and federal statutes affecting creditors' remedies, and issues related to drafting of credit documentation.

Winsberg is a financial restructuring partner in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office. He concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy law and corporate restructuring matters and has significant experience in a variety of litigation matters, including those related to fraudulent conveyances and preference actions. He also handles regulatory banking matters. Winsberg is a former chairman of the State Bar of Georgia’s bankruptcy section and member of the board of directors of the Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute.
