Holmes Hawkins, Dawn-Marie Bey Co-Author Chapter of New International Patent Guide

LONDON, September 4, 2012 – King & Spalding intellectual property lawyers Holmes J. Hawkins, III, and Dawn-Marie Bey are contributing co-authors of the third edition of an international guide to patent law, The International Comparative Legal Guide to Patents 2013. Their chapter provides an overview of the common issues in patent laws and regulations in the United States.

The 192-page guide, published by Global Legal Group Ltd., is divided into two sections. Two general chapters discuss the role of expert evidence in patent litigation across the world and the patent landscape of Gulf Co-operation Council countries. The second section, chapters on country questions and answers, provides a broad overview of common issues in patent laws and regulations in 29 jurisdictions.

Hawkins and Bey are partners in King & Spalding’s Atlanta and Washington, D.C., offices, respectively. Hawkins is leader of the firm’s intellectual property practice group and he focuses on the litigation and trial of patent infringement cases. Bey concentrates on client counseling on patent procurement and large patent portfolio management.
