King & Spalding Ranks Among Top Regional Bond Counsel Through First-Half 2012

27 Aug 2012
RECOGNITION

ATLANTA, August 27, 2012 —King & Spalding ranks No. 3 in the Southeast United States for bond counsel representations in the first half of 2012, according to The Bond Buyer’s mid-year report. The firm was credited as an advisor on $2.2 billion in offerings through June 30, 2012.

The Bond Buyer also recognized King & Spalding as the top firm serving as bond counsel in Georgia, reporting the firm’s offerings as more than five times greater than its closest competitor. Of the five largest issues closed in the state this year, four have been handled by King & Spalding’s public finance practice.

Both achievements follow the firm’s No. 7 ranking earlier this month for first-half competitive sale transactions nationally. The ranking was based on the firm’s nine transactions valued at $1.111 billion.

The Bond Buyer, established in 1891, is a daily newspaper published five days a week and reaches more than 40,000 municipal finance professionals, bond issuers, government officials and investors.
