Harold E. Franklin to Receive Georgia State Bar’s Commitment to Equality Award

ATLANTA, January 31, 2012 – Harold E. Franklin, a product liability litigation partner at King & Spalding, has been chosen as one of three 2012 recipients of the State Bar of Georgia Committee to Promote Inclusion in the Profession’s Commitment to Equality Award. Franklin will receive the award at a reception on February 23, at the State Bar of Georgia Center, in Atlanta.

The Commitment to Equality Awards are given annually to recognize individuals, companies and legal employers in Georgia that have shown a strong commitment to promoting diversity in the legal profession.

Franklin is a partner in King & Spalding’s tort and environmental practice group in Atlanta. He focuses on complex and high-stakes product liability litigation. He has served as counsel for some of the country’s largest automotive, pharmaceutical, beverage and package delivery companies on matters in the United States, Puerto Rico, Europe and South America. Franklin is also an active participant in numerous pro bono and community service endeavors and formerly served as president of the Gate City Bar Association.
