King & Spalding LLP Continues Building New York Patent Litigation Practice with Addition of Fourth New Partner

NEW YORK, August 3, 2004 - Robert F. Perry, a patent litigator with extensive experience in electrical and computer engineering, has joined the New York office of King & Spalding LLP as Partner. King & Spalding established its New York patent litigation team in May to address the needs of its growing New York client base and to complement its patent litigation and other intellectual property strengths firm-wide. Perry, who joins the firm from Kenyon & Kenyon, brings to 11 the total number of patent litigators who have joined the firm since then, among them 4 partners.

Before joining King & Spalding, Perry was a partner in Kenyon & Kenyon's electrical/ computer/mechanical practice group. His litigation practice includes matters relating to the electrical, software and computer arts including voice messaging, compact disc technology, digital cellular communications and 3-D laser inspection technology. He also renders patent opinions and provides a range of patent counseling to clients. Perry earned a B.E.E. from Manhattan College in 1979, an M.B.A. from Seton Hall University in 1984 and a J.D. from Seton Hall Law School, magna cum laude, in 1989.

King & Spalding's IP practice comprises 60 lawyers and patent agents based in the firm's Atlanta and New York offices. The practice helps clients protect and enforce their copyright, trademark and patent rights worldwide. The firm's New York IP team has had a strong focus on domestic and international trademark protection and litigation since it was established in 2001.
