PCAOB Will Hold Series of In-Person Forums to Provide Information, Resources to Small Firms

On April 17, 2024, the PCAOB announced a series of in-person forums on auditing in the small business environment and on auditing broker-dealers. The first forum will be held in Chicago on May 22, with more events planned for later in the year. In the announcement, Chair Williams noted that “[t]hese forums allow the PCAOB to share valuable resources and information with small firms to help them improve audit quality, while giving us a chance to hear from them directly about their unique needs and challenges.”
